Our Mission

Our mission is to promote education and social inclusion by donating books to prisons, libraries, and public schools. We believe that access to reading is essential for social transformation and the creation of opportunities. By promoting the dissemination of knowledge, we seek to empower communities and contribute to a more equitable future. We invite you to join us in this important cause and in expanding the impact of reading.

Why prisons?

In Brazil, reading in prisons is a recognized way to reduce sentences, according to CNJ Resolution No. 391/2021, allowing up to 48 days of sentence reduction per year. Each book read, with a review evaluated, can reduce the sentence by four days. Besides supporting resocialization, this practice brings culture and knowledge to environments where they rarely reach. Donating books is offering dignity, a fresh start, and access to new ideas to those who need it most.

Other Causes We Support:

The Turning Pages project expands its social impact through donations to public schools and public libraries, strengthening access to education, culture, and community support,  making our solidarity even more urgent.

In public schools and libraries, our donations help address resource shortages and encourage reading habits. It's worth noting that 63.2% of Brazilian public schools lack libraries, making our support essential to ensuring more students have access to learning spaces and opportunities for personal transformation.
